Description

Eliot Lipp’s new track “Kona” is a bright blend of guitar samples, breakbeats, and his signature Korg MS-20 synth lines, kicking back on a beach at sunset. The beat hits hard right from the start, but as the track unfolds, it settles into a more laid-back, summery feeling. Lipp’s production seamlessly fuses retro synth textures with crisp, modern rhythms, creating a dynamic energy. Whether you’re cruising with the windows down or vibing at a rooftop party, “Kona” captures that effortless summer feeling.

The B Side song "Silver Bass" is somehow simultaneously more organic and more digital. This one sets sail with live drums, an electric bass & guitar groove with some layered piano samples. A dueling saxophone and Moog help shape the melody, and before long everything begins to morph into a digitally sequenced version of itself. Acoustic instruments are swapped with broken synth cuts and drum machines setting this breezy electro jam out on a journey.

Artist Bio

Eliot Lipp is an American electronic music producer originally from Tacoma, Washington. Emerging in the early 2000s with dusty, instrumental hip-hop, his sound soon expanded into electro-funk, disco, and glitchy techno. After releasing his debut on Prefuse 73’s Eastern Developments label in 2004, Lipp went on to work with labels like Hefty, Mush, Pretty Lights Music, and Young Heavy Souls while also founding his own imprint, Old Tacoma Records.

Known for his eclectic style and constant evolution, Lipp also has multiple collaborative projects with artists Michna (as Minutes Unlimited) and Blockhead (as Lipphead). His catalog spans more than a dozen albums, including *Tacoma Mockingbird*, *Shark Wolf Rabbit Snake*, *Watch the Shadows*, and *Skywave*. Now based in New York, Lipp continues to push the boundaries of beat-driven, genre-blending electronic music.
