While writing Simple Solutions they found themselves on tour and decided to utilize various state-of-the-art mixing consoles in New York, Texas, and Washington. Reels were saturated, headrooms pushed purple, and new vocals were made so dry you think they're wet.
Formed in 2018 during NYC's Bomb Cyclone, Minutes Unlimited is comprised of producers Michna (Ghostly International) and Eliot Lipp (Young Heavy Souls).
Their debut EP Making Contact was released March 2018 and caught the ears of BBC Radio 1, where Jubilee featured it on her R1 Residency. Additional press was secured from Self-Titled, Exclaim, and Big Shot.
Portland, Maine producer Fyvr returns with a series of beat tapes on the Young Heavy Souls label. After releasing his 2017 album “Almost Happy” through the imprint, Fyvr announces two projects entitled “Forget” and “5554ever.”
Up first is “Forget,” which is announced with a music video for the title track. Drenched in saturation and juxtaposed with colorful projected visuals, the video gives a peak into Fyvr’s creative process. Samplers and rim shots dance over an airy vocal sample, with the occasional obscured look at Fyvr himself. Visual elements layer on top of each other mirroring and cutting to the instrumental with an erratic precision.
Fyvr is both elusive and prolific, with a constant output of gorgeous lo-fi hip-hop beats. He’s a producer’s producer and one of the best kept secrets in the underground beat scene.
